Dear Osama, Obama and you

The word indigenous means being tied into the land, the way many others may not understand whose ancestral lands are far away in another part of the world. Ada Blackjack is an example.

The days of exploration recall Steffansson's claims of mastery of the Northern climates, but Ada Blackjack demonstrates the true spiritual reality of life at all latitudes, Heaven favors a certain species of story, not of race, or of nation, certainly not of religion. Left on Wrangel Island with 4 whitemen, Ms. Blackjack survived them all, spending 2 years alone, having nursed one man with scurvy at cost to her own nourishment. The other three disappeared trying to return to the world. Ada was taken on as Seamstress and to represent Inuit rights against Russian claims, in a mad action by Stefansson to win Canadian financing for his colony. I know most Northern Expedition sagas but this was recorded by Ada and by the others, and the stark truth cannot be ignored.

I leave you to read it yourself, with a caveat: the voices in the minds of the starving, abandoned individuals reflect the law in the land; Ada's ancestry speaks to her, always guiding her behavior, whether she was being outrageously disobedient, whether a woman in love, or a woman nursing a dying soul, but it is finally when all the rest were gone (one skeleton slept in the same shelter), that Ada Blackjack's dialogue was obviously with Her Inuit Heaven, the voice of her Ancestry. Her invalid son needed Ada, the reason she had taken the job with these men, had taken the risks in order to break out of the bad life in the towns and bars, to pay for doctors care for her son. That story allows her Inuit Heaven to protect her and bring her home.

What comparison might we make with that kind of Heavenly indigenous protection and solace, and the outrageous claims made by most religious practice? By Political leaders? By media?

I can say more about the mind of Osama bin Laden, than I can about the mind of Barack Obama.

bin Laden acts more consistently with an indigenous temperament, than Barack does, because Obama is ..., -no let me put it this way, because there is no Barack! There is a story about a gentleman of mixed-race, with communication skills, and great tact. But no indigenous Spirit accompanies this President in, or out of prayer. Perfect man for a job that cannot be done. There are no more words on earth today, than were on frozen sparse Wrangel Island, to save Humanity; but just enough words in Heaven to preserve the Divine. I know the images bin Laden sees, and dreamed the same soccer game, so think about this: who is more in accord with the story of Jesus Christ: Obama or Osama?

Its a draw.

The point being, why listen to Obama? Ada Blackjack kept Ada's counsel and lived long after her terrible ordeal at the North Pole. All humans are indigenous to the Planet, but most have spurned their roots and connections, and all are threatening world ecology. If you favor terror go shopping; if not read the book.
